Previously I was quite impressed with the Kodak Gallery’s accordion style baby thank you cards. Actually, they have many different themes besides thank you cards like baby announcements, birthday greetings, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day and so on. I have typically gone out to buy these types of cards at a local card store but I’m really liking the idea of personalizing a card with family photos. The accordion style card allowed for up to 10 pictures so now I would like to see how another template might do for a collage of family pictures.
For baby thank you cards, I was thinking of including 5 or more baby pictures. I would like to show the baby wearing different gift outfits and playing with the other gifts she received. When my daughter was born, I included some pictures in the thank you cards but these services to create a unique and personalized photo card weren’t available then. I would have loved to show her grandparents how much she loved that cuddly blanket right on the front of the card. I took a look at the Kodak Gallery for some options of different card templates that have multiple picture options.
Since I was specifically looking for baby thank you cards, I decided to browse by occasion rather than by style of card. I liked the colours of some of the 5×7 cards but they didn’t allow you to change the text of the card like ‘Love’ and ‘Cutie Pie’. I would rather have ‘Thank You’ on the front of the card. Also, they didn’t allow more than 1 picture to be used. The first few thank you cards I saw in the 5×7 size only allowed for 1 picture but as I continued searching I found a great option with up to 8 pictures that could be added on the front. And the text on the front could be set to say ‘Thank You’. A 5×7 card feels a little big though for a typical thank you card, in my opinion. I would prefer to have a 4-6 size at the largest. There was another option of 5×7 that was only printed on one side so there was no fold. I liked that, somehow it seems less daunting to write a personalized note on the back rather than inside the card.
In my continued search on the Kodak Gallery I found a really unique baby thank you card in the shape of a firetruck. It was a square foldover card that would stand upright. I really like this one. It is smaller and very unique. I can also add my own picture inside the card to personalize it. If the firetruck option doesn’t quite cut it, other prints are available. I’m really getting interested in creating these types of cards now. It just adds a lot more when you include a picture I think. These designs are fun and easy to use.
